Is the visionary and dynamic Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Royse City, Texas, a leadership
role he assumed in May 2016. At New Hope, he passionately leads a congregation committed to being a
powerful light in the community. With a preaching style that is both engaging and relatable, Pastor
Grays inspires and connects with congregants, making biblical truths accessible and impactful for
everyday life.
Under his dedicated leadership, New Hope Baptist Church has received significant recognition,
including a prestigious Texas historical marker that celebrates its rich heritage and enduring impact as a
historically African American church, founded in 1859, even before Rockwall County and Royse City
existed. His commitment to community engagement and historical preservation is further highlighted by
numerous proclamations from the Governor, the Texas Senate, Texas House of Representatives and
Royse City, acknowledging the church's vital role and historical significance.
Rev. Grays's educational journey includes graduating from Lincoln High School, followed by studies at
Texas A&M Commerce and Wesley College. His deep roots in the community and dedication to service
are cornerstones of his impactful ministry.
Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Grays is a devoted family man. He has been happily married to Jennifer Grays
for 26 years, and together they are blessed with four children and two grandsons. His life and ministry
reflect a profound commitment to faith, family, and the flourishing of the wider community.
