Rockwall Noon Rotary was represented at the Fall Community Service Fair!
The Fall Community Service Fair was held at San Jacinto Plaza in downtown Rockwall on Saturday, September 26, from 10 am to 12 noon. It was hosted by JustServe which is a non-profit that connects volunteers to local service projects in various organizations. The event was free and open to all. With the addition of the Rockwall Farmer's Market happening at the same time, we had a lot of foot traffic through the event. One morning, dozens of ways to give back. Meet local non-profits, sign up for a cause you care about, and start serving the same day. 20+ non-profits were represented with information about their causes and projects, with the ability for a person to learn about them, pick a project, and leave with a schedule in hand. Beth Johnson and Noel and Shari Williams were on hand to share information about our club and our newest upcoming event, Rockwall Talent Live. We also handed out 2 applications for prospective members. We were joined for the morning by Tacoya Rawlins, David Ajayi, and Rylee Watkins from our own Rockwall High Interact Club, where Tacoya and David are officers this year. As well as learning more about Rotary, they picked up some information from other vendors that could lead to service projects for their club! It was a wonderful, productive, beautiful morning!!
