On May 9, we had our first public bed build on the parking lot of Lowe’s in Royse City.
We had 133 volunteers from all around the area, from various clubs, organizations, and businesses, and Lowe’s had many employees on site with us. We had several from our club come out to help. We sawed, sanded, drilled, stained, stamped, stapled, and assembled parts for 28 beds that were put in the Rockwall Delivery Hub inventory. Rockwall Rotarians included Michael Rohlf, Josh Frasier, Russ Caldwell, Barbara Wilks, Greg Blair, Bart Miller, Mark Buehnerkemper, Noel Williams, and Shari Williams. Monica Buehnerkemper was there from Royse City Rotary as were several others from that club.
