During this Holy Week, it is so appropriate that we will be dedicating our Rotary Peace Pole in Rockwall’s San Jacinto Square.

Peace Poles were introduced in Japan in the 1950’s, and there are over 250,000 in almost every country of the world.  However, this will only be the second one installed in all of District 5810.  Our version of the Rotary Peace Pole proclaims “Let Peace Prevail on Earth” in four diverse languages: English, Spanish, Hebrew and Chinese - reminding us that we are all made in God’s image and all members of one humankind.

Rotary’s goal has always been to Unite us all for the Good of others. Whether it is to proclaim peace, serve together, or simply to fellowship with one another, we are reminded of our brothers and sisters in other countries who are doing the same for the benefit of their own communities.  Let us continue to Unite for Good!
