1st Sargent Joshua Pendley USMC Ret. Was our speaker at this Remembrance Day for 9/11.

When Josh Pendley was a younger Marine he thought to only do one 4 year hitch. However, 9/11 happened and the flood of patriotism spurred him, and many others, to serve much longer. He recently retired after 23 years of fulfilling service to our nation. 1st Sargent Pendley spoke about how many things in Rotary are similar to the Marines and focused on all the ways we serve our community.
When discussing how much the events of 9/11 affected him he challenged all of us. “The best thing we can do to memorialize 9/11 is to act like the Americans we were on 9/12.”
